Getting Old

Me (in a sing-song voice): Hey girls! It's gonna be my birthday soon!

Pressley (in her saddest voice): Are you gonna be old?

Me: I'm gonna be older, why?

Pressley (sad again): because I like your hair.

Me: Ok...what about my hair?

Pressley: I just don't want it to stick up like great grandma's and great grandpa's.

Escape to Ohio

We spent the beginning part of this week in Ohio. We drove over on Monday night to meet my sister, Jeremy and Tessa for dinner in Salem. It was a lot of fun! We ate at a little Italian place that was delicious! Tessa is walking now, and the girls had fun walking down the street together, holding hands. Then on Tuesday, Justin surprised me by taking me to Amish Country for a night. We had so much fun walking through the little town of Berlin and found a GREAT antique mall. We stayed in a little cabin in the woods, ate lots of incredible food and just enjoyed being together. The only thing that would have been better is if we would have had a couple extra days! It was a great time together!

Labor Day Weekend

We had such a fun Labor Day weekend. We spent it at Holly River, camping with Justin's parents. The girls had so much fun running and biking all over the camp ground. It was a cold weekend, but we enjoyed warming up by the fire. Here are some of the most memorable moments from our weekend:

*Isabella clapped for the first time on the 6th!




*Malia began trying to learn how to ride her bike without training wheels. Both girls had a blast pedaling their little legs all over the campsite!







*Eating marshmallows by the fire. Once we got to the campsite Malia kept asking, "When are we gonna make a camp fire?". Once we finally lit the fire, she settled herself down in a chair and exclaimed, "Now THIS is camping!!!".



*The girls entertained us with a little show from the camper bed "stage".







*Malia and Pressley both learned how to spell "Buckhannon" by learning the cheer from my high school days.

*Malia and Pressley enjoyed a little cake walk with Justin and Pappaw at the arts and crafts fair.

*Pressley froze to death in the shower we took on the first day. She was so cold, all she could do was cry and scream "BRRRRR!!!" at the top of her lungs during the entire shower. Needless to say, we did not shower again the entire weekend!
